Sage Timberline Office v9.7 Ready for Takeoff

During this last week of April we are in anticipation of the soon-to-be-released version 9.7 of Sage Timberline Office (STO). It includes some new supported platforms to be aware of.

Microsoft Small Business Server
Last fall Sage announced that STO would now be supported on Small Business Server (SBS) 2008 Premium Edition. Version 9.7 will continue to be supported on SBS 2008 Premium, however now it is supported even when installed on a domain controller. Ideally STO should be installed on a second server, but it no longer must be. Microsoft recommends installing applications on a server other than the domain controller.

Operating Systems
On the desktop, Microsoft Windows 7 is now supported with STO version 9.7. On the server, Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 is now supported.

Virtual Server Environments
Sage CRE will now include virtual server environments as part of their list of supported platform environments. We will support the actual virtualization of STO version 9.7 itself.

Pervasive
Pervasive P.SQL 10 will now support Microsoft Windows 7 on the desktop and Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 on the server.
