Sage MAS 90 and 200 ERP Version 4.4 - the Wait is Almost Over

Sage Software has just released their Version 4.4 Pre-Release Guide. This new release, which is expected to ship in Q1 2010, will provide some very exciting new features and enhancements for workflow and business processes. The powerful Business Framework standards have been applied to four key modules: Inventory Management, Purchase Order, Bill of Materials, and Bar Code. This will now enable Business Insights Explorer to extract and present data views for data contained in these modules (several new BIE views have been added to version 4.4).

There are many highlights mentioned in the document. Chief amongst them are the following.

• Parallel Migration - will allow better flexibility and control, which should save time during the upgrade process
• New Information Center - Community Forums and “Tell Us What You Think” submission capability
• Customer Number - expanded from 7 characters to 20
• Inventory Item Number - expanded from 15 characters to 30
• Batch Entry added for Inventory and Purchasing Transactions
• Act! Link will be suspended in favor of the SageCRM offering

The Extended Solutions shown below will be rendered obsolete by the new features and functionality of the 4.4 release, and therefore retired.
