Microsoft recently released an out-of-band security update by sending a web link that directed the reader to www.microsoftemail.com. Microsoftemail.com does indeed belong to the Microsoft Corporation, but the unfamiliar address does raise the question about the potential for a phishing scam. The entire incident gives us the opportunity to review proper practices for handling updates. Learn more.
